I rest upon this spot of ground, a vacant lot in the silent town.
When ready I will walk away but one day must return to stay.
to stay forever and enjoy the view.
Such a lovely scene with a sky painted blue and hills of green.
From this spot I see it all, where I have lived my life, winter, spring, summer, and fall.
I have roamed those hills and fished that creek that snakes its way between them.
I can see my favorite country store, the church, the mill, a whole lot more. You may only
see a beautiful country side but I also see a beautiful memory. Staying forever will not
be bad. Why this is the best spot to be had. And when here I'm finally laid, I shall not
be so afraid, because I love this spot of ground, a beautiful lot in the silent town.
